Dryer not working problems

There are various reasons why a dryer might not work. Firstly, the thermal fuse might be compromised, or the exhaust vent might be clogged. Not just that, even a broken push start button stops your dryer. Consult a professional if you are not an expert at such things. But make sure that the dryer is unplugged before you do anything.

Tub rotating in one direction

In order to understand that, you must know that the rotation is controlled by the PCB (Printed Circuit Board). The triac provides supply to 2 windings in the motor. If one of these is spoiled, or the supply is broken, one direction movement of the washer will stop. If both are spoiled, the tub stops rotating.

How to use a semi-automatic washing machine?

We all have had a semi-automatic washing machine once or have seen it in a relative’s/ friend’s place. The way it is used is very simple. Unlike fully automatic washers, these need to be monitored as the washing and drying chambers are different. Once you start the washing machine, set a timer and sit back. Most semi-automatic washers have a sock technology which means the clothes get soaked first and then they get pinned in the tub for cleaning. As soon as the washing is completed, a buzzer signals you and the spinning is stopped. Then you need to pick out the clothes manually and dump them in the dryer which is right next to it. Once the clothes are dried, you can take them out and place them under the sun or the fan for some time. This removes the remaining moisture from the fabric giving you super clean and fresh clothes to wear.
